Texas Sheet Cake



°1 cup butter

°1 cup of water

°¼ cup cocoa

°2 cups of sugar

°2 cups flour

°⅛ teaspoon of salt

°2 eggs

°1 teaspoon baking soda

°½ cup sour cream

°1 teaspoon vanilla

°Frosting (recipe below)


°½ cup of butter

°¼ cup cocoa

 °¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons milk

°1 box (1 pound) icing sugar (sift first to remove lumps – otherwise icing will remain lumpy)

°½ teaspoon of vanilla

°Chopped pecans (optional)
